Conversations with Communists
The project Conversations with Communists stems from the desire to listen to the experiences of those who have a trajectory in, or alongside, communist parties and movements, globally and at all times. We have already collected a set of testimonies that account for communist trajectories and highlight the question of communist faith and reason, the question of leadership, gender issues, abandonment or continuation in the party, challenges to communism in a post-Soviet world, against the backdrop of very diverse socio-economic and cultural contexts. So far TCC has collected the following conversations: Emmet O'Connor and Barry McLoughlin, Dianne Kirby and Osama Zuman, Dianne Kirby and Lynda and Ernest Walker, Sally Davison and Jeff Rodrigues. We invite scholars, researchers, activists and citizens to contact us to conduct interviews and conversations with communists in their own language, in presence or online. The conversations will be preserved and made available to the scientific community and the general public in accordance with the interviewees' preferences.
