Abstract
The paper begins with a discussion of what the polycrisis is and of scepticism about its existence. To see what effect it should have on rethinking the aims of English schools, it looks at, only to reject, official aims currently in place. There follows a brief account of aims on which there is wide consensus among philosophers of education. All this equips us to examine how the polycrisis should affect English school aims. Three suggestions are made about this.
