Towards national or human unity? A Reply to John Denham
John Chowcat, pages 55-61

Abstract

The labour movement should not echo right-wing nationalism in the hope of constructing a ‘patriotic’ left appeal – to do so simply helps to re-establish the ‘common sense’ of chauvinistic nationalism. Rather, the left should emphasise positive international measures and international solidarity in the service of universal human rights.
