Abstract
The authors of The Media Manifesto and The Anti-Racist Media Manifesto address a series of key questions about democracy and the media. The discussion covers a wide range of issues, including what a media commons could actually look like; how to respond to the rising tide of fascism; the necessity of prioritising anti-racist media; the importance of publicly accountable algorithms; the need for the fight for political democracy to prioritise media; and the critical importance of safeguarding children’s media space.
